Meet Bekah
Several years ago, although I was very active and relatively healthy, something was still missing for me. I was struggling with stress, hormonal imbalance, mood swings... you name it. I was eating "healthy", or so I thought. I had been trying all of the trending diets and ways of eating (low carb, low fat, crash diets, counting macros), and each one of those landed me in a worse place than I had already been, especially mentally. I realized I needed to stop eating for physical appearance and start eating to truly fuel my body with the best nutrients that I could find and also find a way to eliminate the toxic elements in my life that were adding to my stress and unhappiness.
I knew I wanted to learn more, and so I started searching for a school or program that could provide what I was looking for. This is when I came across the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Throughout the program I learned so much, not only about nutrition, but about lifestyle and how to balance the two in a holistic way.
Staying active plays a huge role in a healthy lifestyle and fitness has been a big part of my life for many years now. In 2021 I decided I wanted to get my personal training certification so that I could cover all aspects of creating a healthy lifestyle. I also took a particular interest in pre- & postnatal training as well as working with women who have hormone imbalances such as PCOS. Because of my passion for all things hormone related, I decided to further my education and become a Certified Pre- & Postnatal Coach as well as a Certified Women’s Health Coach through Girls Gone Strong.
My goal is to be able to share that passion and help others by guiding them along their way to creating a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
